Pattern and yarn came from the stash of Grandma Anne Inga who passed away in November of 2015. When her home was cleaned out, her grandson, Steve found bags of yarn skeins and this uncompleted project. He offered it to me, and I have finished it.
I used the yarn and the basic pattern she started. I added a round of single crochet around the entire blanket with the eight rows of color for each. I finished it off with a nice scallop edging, a pattern offered by a fellow Raveler.
I will miss Grandma Anne, but her legacy will live on in this blanket to a dear friend’s granddaughter.
Update: I gave the blanket to the proud Grandpa last night. He said his daughter would appreciate the colors and will like the blanket for Elena.
And now you can see the “happy” baby with her blanket. Always happy to see the babies use the blankets I make them.
