1/21/15 - Stayed up until midnight to finish this baby. Now buttoned & blocked, it’s ready to give to my friend Doris.

1/20/15 - Knitting completed last night. All that is left is to add the “light” buttons, weave in the loose ends, and block.

1/14/15 - This is my first attempt at lace. All the yarnovers and knitting 2 stitches together were initially confusing - but I really like the way this is turning out. The Tardis design in the lower portion of the shawl was a little tricky at first, so I ended up swatching the pattern (without repeats) until I got it right. (Purling through the back of the loop on the second stitch was the trickiest part.)

It’s now all coming together. I even found some buttons at my local button emporium (Soutache in Chicago) that are perfect for the lights at the top of each Tardis.

This may get me to try more lace and shawls.
