I was looking for a nice pattern I could use to make a cushion cover for a friends birthday and came across Sadie’s Jewels version of this pattern.
Oh how I wish the pattern had come with a chart! Trying to convert a written pattern from US terms to UK and keep the stitch count right - nightmare!
I don’t have time to make a second square for the back (I still need to work at least another 3 inches for the front…), so will appliqué this one to the front of a shop bought satin finish cushion in deep teal.
All done. Decided to do a scallop edging - I tried bobbles and pointy “teeth” but they didn’t look right.
The panel is slip stitched to the cushion cover to hold it in position.
Hopefully my friend will like it.
