Notes

Ok, this is my very first attempt at miniature knitting. It was fun! And awful whenever I dropped a stitch, ack! I had to take my glasses off to be able to see well enough to find and pick up the dropped stitch. gah….

Photo 1: Stopped to take a picture after about 10 rounds. Trying to decide if I’ll continue.

Photo 2: Test fitting. Eee! I was sooo excited!

Photo 3: Took forever, but finally got both sleeves knitted. You can see I got impatient on the 2nd one (it’s shorter and skinner, heh heh!). Mimi doesn’t look very impressed, does she??

Photo 4: I couldn’t get the whole side by side into Ravelry’s squares. But the one on the left was my first attempt. See the mis-shapen body and funny sleeves? The one on the right I did the next day. It looks MUCH better!

By the way, both were knit in the round using circular needles and the “magic loop” technique. Even the sleeves were knit in the round… The first one I knitted from the bottom up. Got very confused when I got to the armholes (I’ve never knit a sweater before, mini or human sized). Anyway. It barely looks like a sweater, heh! It took about 4 hours and 45 minutes.

The second one I knitted the next day from the top down. MUCH easier to figure out the armholes then. I also used a seed stitch for the hem instead of ribbing.

Photo 5: The second sweater is being modeled by a thing of Visine eye drops.

Photo 6: “Now THAT’S more like it!” says the smarty-pants Mimi.

What should I try next??? Hee hee!!
