Notes

This is about 3/4 crocheted and 1/4 knitted (knooked), with the nose, tail, and fins done in crochet and the middle of the body knit. Picking up stitches through both loops left no visible seam when I transitioned to knitting, but binding the knit stitches off and crocheting from that point on left a definite indentation near the end of the body. Weird!

Doubled the yarn to approximate DK/sport weight. As before, I pulled through the ball to get the colors to line up more or less where I wanted, since the diameter of the project is so small. I am not sure if I like the peach stripe though.

I like the look of stockinette a lot, but coming from a crochet background where increases and decreases in sc may be almost invisible, I am weirded out by how they look in plain stockinette. Also, holy cow it’s hard to stuff the knitted part of a hybrid project enough to match the firmness of the crocheted parts.
