Notes

The Silk Bamboo has a tendency to fuzz up but is very soft and smooth.

Tunisian crochet, basic tss worked flat for about 15 rows and inexpertly rolled into a tube to make columnar cacti. Tss curls like crazy, but it was an advantage since I was going to roll it up anyway. The bumps on the wrong side create a really neat texture. I just wish I could figure out how the heck to seam it invisibly.

Flower is embroidery floss worked with a 1.50mm steel hook.

Cacti are attached to a cylindrical base of acrylic worked in a flat circle up to about 30 sc, then done in the back loop for 1 row to give it an edge, then sc around for about 5 rows before doing one more row in the back loop and decreasing down to close. I didn’t stagger the decreases on the base so they’re very visible.

The turtle is a terracotta votive holder.
