I discovered this pattern when Knitquilter showed her finished Alex Hood on her YouTube channel and I had to pause the episode to go purchase the pattern

A fun knit, perfect for all the left over yarn from jumper projects using two strands held together. Just the right amount of changes in the ribbing pattern to keep you interested all the way, and at the same time not too complicated for knitting in social settings. Excited to see how the size and shape will be after wet blocking! Hoping it will turn out perfect, of course, because I really want to make more of these!

After blocking:
I would have liked the hood to be just a little bit larger and the scarf just a little bit longer. That might be accomplished by going up a needle size on my next try, meanwhile this will be a pretty perfect spring/fall accessory me thinks
