Top down, knit flat, button bands added last.

5,5 balls of Alice and 3 balls + last arm cuff used of kid silk.

From time to time I forget how much I dislike knitting on large needles and off I go to buy some fluffy, tempting yarn in a yummy color… About half an hour into the project my memory appears to be working again, and I begin to regret everything. This was not a labor of love, let me tell you, although you might already have guessed. The yarn is super light and soft to the touch, but I found the knitting process really heavy. I guess I’m knitting a lot tighter on thick needles, making the stitches not exactly fly off the needles? I just can’t stand loose stitches, and “holy” knitwear. Anyhow, I got the job done and will probably even buy and attach buttons once blocking is done, because after all, it’s a very expensive cardigan all in all. Who knows, I might even wear it someday..?

Washing went well, it became even softer and is really nice to wear next to the skin. I bought light weight plastic buttons so they won’t pull down on the button band. Also I really love the glitter effect in the buttons I will be wearing the cardigan, but I feel like it looks more like a ”house coat” than anything else. I don’t think I would have bought such a pricey yarn had I realized this sooner…
