Unable to resist the cuteness of this pattern!

I was doing SO great so far in 2025, not buying even a yard of yarn for the whole of January! (That’s something I hadn’t really planned for, but the utterly miserable weather, the fact that I was snowed in for a period and a severe flare up of my rheumatic disease just made it almost impossible to go shopping for yarn…)

I actually finished 10 projects from stash yarn during January (not yet documented in my project page, shame on me!) and it felt incredibly good! I will try to focus a good deal on my stash this year, but I will also buy yarns that I really, really want to try. I’m not going to buy the same old, same old only because it’s on sale, I think I’ll be searching for new experiences instead. All that said, I was taking a trip to Molde to stay for a few days, and I have been wanting to test more of the Hillesvaag yarns which they stock there, in Husfliden. So I found a pattern I adored and went looking for Norwegian pelt wool from Hillesvaag. And I’m smitten! The colors, the texture, the warmth, how nice it is to work with,I love everything about it so far! I think I might have a new favorite yarn…
