First started this project with two shades of green which was nice, but not enough contrast between the two shades to show off the elaborate patternwork. I was looking for a «soft» contrast, not wanting the pattern to be so loud, but alas…indigo and ice blue were the best alternatives in my stash, so, loud it is!

Starting with the sleeves, knitting in the round. Loving the colour combination now, glad I decided to go for it!

I have knit everything in the round, and will be steeking armholes and neck opening. Have been contemplating turning it into a cardigan because I think it would look fabulous as that, but it’s not easy to decide! Also thought about a v-neck pullover, since my version will not be very oversized. Decisions, decisions… I guess I will put in the sleeves, stitch a bit of the shoulder seams, try it on and then decide.

Sooo…what happened? From may 22 to September 23? I don’t know, really. It somehow ended up unfinished, probably because I wasn’t happy with the neck line. And it took all of this time to pick it back up and finish it, wow! Anyways, I made the neck line a bit deeper last night, picked up stitches and started knitting. Today I finally have it finished, with a huge sigh of relief

Will I ever follow this pattern again? Well, sure, maybe? I would make it more like the original though, with wool yarn closer to the original and a bit oversized as well - because it’s a fabulous pattern, really
