When my LYS decided to include Hillesvåg Ask in their assortment, I was thrilled! I absolutely adore the yarn and the colors, and I wanted to grab a lot of different colors at first chance I decided to celebrate my yarn haul crocheting myself two throw pillows from Hooks ‘n Tales pattern called Moonflower.

I have used 8 colors in my pillows, and I’ll NOT try to give an approximate for how much I used from each since I’ve recently discovered my scale is not accurate for weighing small amounts of yarn. The raspberry red is the only color where I spent the whole 100 gr skein, with only a few yards left over.

I made the two pillows at the same time, finishing one color at the time on each of them, that way I knew they would both get finished. I’m working the final round on the second pillow now, just after I washed the first and pinned it to the blocking mat. I’ll be using fabric for backing and for the backsides. And I shall return with fresh photos of finished objects as soon as they’re all done. Can’t wait to decide what to make next from the rest of the yarn!
