5/30/12- Gauge swatch knit and blocking. Looks like I’m a fairly standard one size down to achieve gauge kind of girl. This is good to know!

6/25/12- I FINALLY started the garter stitch at the bottom hem. Made it a little shorter than the pattern calls for as I’m short waisted and was concerned that longer might not be a love in the end. Frankly I’m not sure the whole sweater will be a love in the end but I keep plowing ahead anyway. We’ll see what happens when I add a sleeve or 2. No matter what, I can’t wait to finish it and knit something other than a sweater for a while!

7/5/12- Done but for the blocking! Knitting was finished 7/3, ends woven in 7/4, just waiting for my blocking wires so I can give ‘er a good soak and flatten things out a bit. Turns out, I really really like the finished product! Wasn’t convinced this would be the case for a long time during the knitting, but in the end, ‘sall good!
