I put a great deal of thought into how to get the Hogwarts students to the Tri-Wizzard tournament- muggle transportation just takes too long so that was Out. Apparation would be great but what to do with the students under 17 who might want to support their Champion? Side Along Apparation would be OK but involve a lot of back and forth for those of age to collect those who are not and do we really want to deal with the risks of splintching? Seems risky. After analyzing all the options I decided a simple wormhole would be the easiest. Each student can pass his or her head through from Hogwarts and end up conveniently out the other side to the Tournament grounds. No risk of being seen by Muggles and no real sill required. Perfect!
