The hat turned out great-looking, but I can already tell this will never fit my baby when he’s a newborn. I don’t really do gauging though…otherwise I would have gone down a few needle sizes.

And like everybody else, I had to look at other people’s helpful tips to figure out whether I had started the decreases right. The instructions are vague, to put it mildly. Looks like I got it right, thankfully.
