Three socks later, I finally got the hang of the fair isle stitch and managed to match the color fades pretty well. Needed to go up a size for the fair isle pattern at the top (stuck with a 1 on the bottom). And I’m not much of a fan of the binding off with toe-up socks, but I managed to give them enough stretch with a size 8 needle. I used a short row tutorial on YouTube which caused the heels to not have very much room, so the heels do tend to slide underneath toward my toes a little. So I do have to occasionally tug them back over. Other than that, it’s a nice, snug fit.
