Notes

Lovely knit… It was a pleasure jumping back into shawl knitting after such a long absence.

  • I didn’t slip the edge stitches as I normally do because with so much stockinette, I liked the toothier look of the plain garter border
  • I used the Russian join technique to attach my second skein since I detest weaning in ends, but mostly because I didn’t want to ruin the clean lines of the design.
  • I used Elizabeth Zimmerman’s sewn bind off to keep the bound off edge looking light and ethereal.
  • This design is best benefited with a tonal shifting or solid color yarn and the crescent shape would look amazing in a silk blend as well as 100% wool.
