This is my second attempt at crocheting this pattern, and I’ve had more success this time ‘round (the first time, I chose a worsted weight yarn for “sock practice”, and the result was disastrous).

I used a fingering weight yarn, and a slightly larger hook than was recommended, which may have inflated my gauge a bit. But the fit of the first sock was just about perfect, and it’s surprising how stretchy this pattern is (given that the yarn itself is not).

Almost finished the second sock, I learned a lesson about tension (in all senses of the word). The ribbing and width of the second sock is about 1 cm smaller than the first - I guess I was focusing too much on pulling my stitches tight. Good thing these are for me!
