Started with 203 FSC stitches. Extended to 230 FSC stitches.
Using the ‘Temperature Blanket’ colourwork technique, using a 12 colour key according to the daily High Temp for a year. Will end up with 365 rows.
Will be changing direction of the FLDC stitches so it creates a zig zag ridge pattern. Inspired by the 2015 blanket by @charrliy18 on Instagram. Not only does it look cool but it will be a great way to delineate the change of month.

Piece ‘shrank’ about 15cm once I started working the SC rows. Only have done 3 rows so I will frog back to the FSC row and extend to 230 FSC stitches. Loving the stitch and colours though! Very easy and almost ‘mindless’ crochet! Great for when you’re tired and want to crochet in front of the TV.

Ugh, I keep adding colours and then having to fiddle the temperature increments. I’m going to stop now! Posted the FINAL Temperature Colour Key for the year. At least now when I get to winter the blanket won’t be all Teal and Grey previously. Now there will be some Blue and Mint rows to break it up. Worth It!

Decided I didn’t like how the acrylic yarn is already pilling and I wanted this to be a nice hardy throw blanket for my couch, so I’m ending the piece now at the 6 month mark. I’ll edge the whole thing and still use it as a dog blanket or some such.
Will make my new blanket with FSC 270 as 230 still shrank to too narrow for what I wanted. Many valuable lessons learned with this project!
