Using the extra small chart but cast on 42sts and then increased to 46sts before the chart. My wrist circumference is about 13cm but hand is 17cm, so I’ll go up a needle size hafway up the thumb gusset then maybe again after the thumb split. The colours (deep teal and plum-purple) look amazing together and Wollmeise’s brilliant stitch definition helps. I also really love double knitting, it’s really cool!

Edited pattern - you’re meant to do this thing when you cast on to get your cuff/hem/stripes initially where you work in reverse stocking stitch. I didn’t bother, and did my provisional cast on, worked four rounds in MC, six in CC (all in stocking stitch), and then just picked up the cast on sts like a normal hem - it’s worked out really well.

16.02.12: Done! Worked two extra rounds on the thumb. They’re a bit big but I love them way too much to care. Have a date on Sunday - will be wearing them!
