The blanket turned out wonderful. It was a fun knit, even though the border took ages to finish :). Birthday present for my husband.

Did a crochet provisional CO on the border and a three needle BO.

One skein of brown wool was 8/2, I haven’t noticed and knit some 10-15 rows in wrong weight… Decided to leave as it is. It’s rather visible on pictures - but not so noticeable when cuddling on a sofa :)

Update January 2017: after almost 3 years of intensive usage thinner yarn just bursted :( . Unraveled this part, knitting anew and will try to graft…
Knit the lace part and joined the remaining part by 3 needle bind-off. And now it’s as good as new :))) (second last photo)

Diameter: 156 cm. Did not block aggressively, I guess it’s possible to block to app. 2 m in diameter. Maybe next time…
