Notes

Another bride and groom.
The bunnies as usual were knit in Drops Muskat.
The brides dresswas knit following Nim Teasdales Don’t Panic shawl pattern. I cast on 38st and worked from the waist down, starting on row 2 of part 1 of the pattern. If I was to do this again, I would start on row 4. I threaded a ribbon through the first row of holes, just to make it less open looking.
I knit to row 49 (158 st) beading as per chart, where I ran out of the Giza 4 ply.I couldn’t get any more cream, so bought a ball of Sirdar 4 ply cotton which turned out to be slightly lighter in colour. I cast off in this and then picked up 36 stitches from the cast on row at the waist and knitted upwards as normal following the seasonal dress pattern.
I lined skirt with a stiff organza to give body , and as the skirt was not long enough I let the hem of it hang below as a frill. In future yarn permitting another few rows of the shawl pattern would be done.
The brides shoes were done in Adriafil silver lame and the tights in a double knit cotton. I find the 4 ply too fine and makes the legs too short and not sturdy enough.
The grooms suit was the shorts pattern from the boy bunny apttern with 6 extra rows added to the legs, and the jacket and waistcoat were from Barbara Primes Well Dressed Bunny pattern.
The tiara is my first foray into jewellery making. The base was made from a length of silver and a length of gold coloured wire twisted together and folded in half and half again. The beads were threaded onto silver wire and wrapped around the base as I went. Then I wrapped cream ribbon around the base to neaten it. It won’t win any prizes, but not bad for a first attempt, and bunny’s not complaining!
