The Tears For Penny poncho and boot set was made in memory of Penny Tennerman (aka WormHerder ) . The stitch used is the Apache Tears, which consists of single and double crochet stitches. I used the name of the stitch and the fact it is in memory of Penny and I came up with Tears For Penny. We are all sadden over the loss of Penny and many of us were in tears when we found out…so Tears For Penny was the most fitting title I could come up with.

I had planned to make a matching hat, which I will probably do, but at the moment it is just a poncho and boot set. I hope to make this into a pattern sometime soon…

The project took longer than I had expected due to the fact that the first attempt at the poncho ended up too small. I am very happy with the end product!
