Edit: I ‘finished’ this ages ago but keep forgetting to get updated pictures. Well, it’s as finished as it’s getting I guess, anyway. I had originally planned on crocheting little white rounds and embroidering eyes, like little closed happy eyes or somesuch. It did not look good, that idea was scrapped. My MiL gave me some buttons to try but those didn’t look right either. The craft store here doesn’t sell safety eyes or anything like that so I just drew eyes for now. Maybe one day the poor thing will get a real set of eyes. Since it just sits on my desk looking cute, straight pinned on eyes aren’t a huge deal I suppose.

Because it reminded me of how they described Ron’s owl “Pig” (Pigwidgeon), that’s his new name.

(Pigwidgeon was described by Harry as resembling a “fluffy snitch.”)

Construction: Just a round amigurumi ball worked in the round with the loop stitch around my finger. All the stitches were tugged extra tight at the end then cut in half, brushed out, then trimmed. This makes the ‘feathers’ very stylable.

I had a bit of grey yarn leftover from the chain of the chain chomp hat and thought it would be perfect for making a fuzzy little baby owl with. I’ve been working the loop stitch in the round with an open spot at the bottom for easier desk sitting. I also gave it a little tummy patch of white for some added contrast. I’ve been so close to done for ages, I really need to just get it finished. XD I have some other plans for finishing, but I’ll save those ideas until I’m done.
