What a pain in the butt to figure this out. I wanted to try to make my own pattern and I did eventually get it. I would change a million things now if I made another one. First I would use the same brands, the Red Heart yarn was so scratchy and tough and knitted completely different than the monoprix yarn I had. But I couldn’t find just a good primary blue here so I decided to go for instead of ordering online like I really should have. I had to use a slightly bigger hook because the Red Heart was just so dense. Then I had a lot of ruffling problems on the top, once again, the difference in yarn. I fixed that, but I had to frog the start so often I’m pretty sure the husband thought he’d never get his hat. Also should have started the colour row in the back and not the front, that will bug me. XD

Overall for my 3rd completed project and second hat I think I did pretty good. If I remake it with proper yarns I’ll try to write down a pattern.
