Edit: Took a break during making it a few times because it was just a lot of straight knitting. Could have finished it before that. I don’t even know that you can say that it’s really even the hat in the pattern anymore. I didn’t follow it at all. I cast on 40 sts, did a large 4x4 rib (my first time doing Norwegian purling, only way to do it now), and did about 4 inches of ribbing. Did a few random decreases, more around the top of the head area, then more randomly going up. I decided to just keep going until I was about to run out of yarn, this this guy is loooong. My husband has claimed it because it’s a bit oversized for me. (I think the chopsticks may be more like a 5.5mm) He calls it a “harf”. Hat/scarf

Had to give the hat a good wash when I was done, lot of die and junk came out in the water so I dried it flat on black towels, not so good for picture taking. My fingers always felt dirty while knitting with the yarn, I had to wash them frequently. The yarn also discoloured my chopsticks a bit green. Was not the most pleasant to work with. However all washed and such, it feels soft enough and the hat is very comfy and warm. Need to get a picture of it worn. :)

Oh well, not too bad for stuff my mom picked up at the dollar store.
