Making one garter block and attempting to make strip of no purl ribbing same width as a block.

30/50g remained when ready to start the icord border on the block.

02-09-2023

Block weighs 24g with the edging, so could just squeak 2 squares from a 50g ball. Started the No-purl rib strip with 35 sts, but then added 6 more for I-cord edges. Plan is to make this strip until this ball is done, then block strip, measure all, then machine wash and dry to test.

02-15-2023

Knitting all done, planning normal block of rib section, measure of both sections, then machine wash and dry of both swatches and re-measure.
Then math on size and available yarn.

Squares were 7.5-8” after hand soak and lying out to dry, slightly smaller but would stretch to the same after gentle/low heat machine wash and tumble dry.
Math still to come. Blanket recipient will be a boy, will plan on mostly blues and greens with possible touches of purple and brown.
