Notes

Using the Space Cadet from frogging the Moonmist and Baktis projects. Its a little less yardage than the pattern calls for but I should be okay if I use two or three less motifs on each strip. Will weigh to see how much one strip uses when I get there.

Fun pattern - thank goodness it has a chart :) My yarn is all crinkly because its from frogged projects - will block out beautifully.

finished my first section. I did 16 motifs (including each end) and the completed section weights 27g. So that will leave me 19 grams to do the two in-between sections which are mostly chain mesh. I think I should have enough - here’s hoping! Because there isn’t really any frogging back the motif sections. I would probably have to figure out a way to trim out some of the connecting sections. But not to worry too soon. :)

Having a terrible time figuring out the join section. I have the fan row done but I’m finding the instructions very confusing for how to hook up with the main motifs. Going to try to chart it out and if that fails I’m just going to figure out my own join with the fan row.

Could not get the join right from the text. Did my own version which is pretty close visually. Used up almost all the Luna - whew - if I had done one more motif on each row I wouldn’t have had enough. Pictures to come

Yarn is so fine and light that it was hard to get decent photos.

couple of people asking me about my join and I wish to hell I had made better photos and chart. I sold this baby immediately and can’t refer back to it. I’ll try to translate what I did from the “my mod to join section” photo and the small chart (sorry its so crappy).

from the last fan, chain 4, did a chain 3 picot, ch 2, dc into the third picot on the main motif, ch 2, dc into the 4th dc of the fan, ch 2, dc into the next picot of the main motif, ch2, dc into the same 4th dc of the first fan, ch2, dc into the chain loop of the next fan, ch2, dc into the next picot of the main motif (this is the last picot before where the two main motifs come together), ch2, dc into the same chain loop of the fan, ch2, dc into the 4th dc of the next fan, ch2, triple into the connection between the two main motifs, ch2, dc into the same 4th dc of the fan, ch2, dc into the chain loop of the next fan, etc. etc. You are basically making little diamonds as you connect. When you get to the last main motif, you will do ch3, a ch3 picot, then ch4 and slip into the last (third) picot on the last motif.
