Notes

yes. that many different crochet cottons. obviously you don’t need a ball of each. in fact many of these were small amounts. leftovers.

i encourage you to use your bits and pieces to make your own masterpiece.

why use crochet cotton on an afghan pattern?

well, its smaller. easier to work on, carry from place to place.its great in the summer, as even acrylic in large abounts becomes too hot to work with when there are thousands of yards. its also easier to gift as a baby blanket, or tablecloth or large doily. besides, I love the feel of the yarn and the end product. these frank patterns are gorgeous, to see the real artistry of the design, you either have to have a queen or king bed to display, (or a lot of large beds to display multiples, )or use a smaller weight yarn.

why these colors.

the greens of spring even follow me as I drive or walk. but there…. is purple/red, lavender, brown and even black.

the stitches here, when colored row by row, evoke rows of small trees in either green leaf or white bloom. there’s even a fence, or maybes its last years grape vines and still naked bushy sticks…
