Using acrylic yarn so Rome’s mommie can wash & dry easily in a machine.
Important to CO very loosely.

Found tiny button eyes at Walmart. No colours other than black.
The 2/2 ribbing seems too big. Picked up 72 stitches matching knits rows with purl rows and worked one round knit 2/ purl 2. Did one row of Two-Stitch Twist Cable followed by another knit 2/purl purl 2 row. Then bound off with smaller needles.

Two-Stitch Twist as follows:

1. Ignore the first stitch for the moment on the left-hand needle and put the right-hand needImle into the back of the second stitch on the needle.
2. Knit this stitch through the back loop, but don’t drop it off the left-hand needle.
3. Bring the right -hand needle back around to the front and knit the first stitch normally through the front loop.
4. Drop both stitches from the left-hand needle.
5. Purl 2 stitches as you would normally Repeat 1 to 5.

Note: avoid knitting too tightly or this twist cable stitch wil be more difficult to achieve.
