CO 96 stitches with 3.5 mm 16” round needles. Knit one round.
Begin K2/P2 ribbing. Knit 4 rounds, switch to 4.5 mm needles. Continue for 6 1/2” (wish I had done 8 1/2 “ so I have the option to turn up for a cuff.
Knitting went quickly. Follow strib hat directions for the crown. Slipped last 8 stitches onto a needle and pulled through to secure. Doesn’t need a pom pom as the crown is quite nice as is. Finished hat is 8 3/4” long

Navy/Gray stripe Hat used 1 ball Naturally Tussock Aran for main colour. CO96 & 4.5 mm needles only.

Encore yarn : machine wash on gentle cycle.
