The draft is basically a 16 shaft straight draw, with a twill progression treadling (like snowflake twill). It amazes me how a straight draw can produce such curves and waves!

The painted warp is from Iridescent Fibers and called Desert Vista. Purples, copper, coral and magenta hues softy shift.

I used red purple, black and two threads of coral as my borders. One scarf I used red purple as weft…. and the second I used dark teal. You’d never know it was the same warp!

The pattern produces ridges in the cloth when wet…. so would be a good pattern choice for a collapse weave.
