I crocheted a mussel shawl when I got this yarn, but each shell was just too bulky. It’s been sitting for almost a year in giant balls, calling to me. The colors in it remind me of abalone shells, and I love it! Can’t wait to see how this turns out!

One skein down, two to go. I would really like to find some kind of long shell or something for the toggles. I’ve been looking around, but stone, antler, and wood are the main natural toggle buttons I have found so far.

Started third ball just before Thanksgiving. This is going slowly because I’ve started a couple of quickie Christmas projects. Hopefully I can work it in well enough to have it done for myself for Christmas!

Finally took pics. Still have to find toggles that I like. Ended up 42” x 22”w. Too heavy to stay on my head like a hood, but still wonderfully squishy and warm! The actual color is in between the colors that show in the pics.
After reading & looking at a few of the other beautiful cowls, I think I’ll pick up a new shawl pin instead of toggles.
