I am really loving how this is turning out, but I was not too into knitting it. I used Malabrigo sock yarn, mainly because I misread the pattern initially and thought it called for sock yarn, so I held it double and it turned out great. It is not as thick and squishy as it would be with worsted weight, but it is perfect for our purposes b/c it folds up really small so will fit perfectly into a diaper bag or over a stroller or carseat without being too hot.

I set a deadline to finish it before Stitches South though, so that was enough motivation. I am doing it more for the finished product than the process, which is rare for me. Baby blankets are not my thing.

I cast on 103 and am holding the yarn double.
