I ordered the hat kit in the Winter colorway the day BT released its Spring Thaw collection, and I am so glad that I did. The hat is lovely to knit, a great way to get a colorwork hit, but with a mix of instant satisfaction. The subtle 5-color combination is gorgeous, and the fact that it is offered in a kit really makes the color combinations much more attainable.

This is my first complete project with LOFT. It is really an amazing yarn, especially for colorwork. After blocking, it blossoms into the perfect complimentary blend. I can’t wait to do more projects with it.

My husband, who has a shaved head and therefore loves his hand knit hats, commented on how warm the LOFT yarn is compared to his other hats. Also, when he tried the hat on before I blocked it, he noted that it was really itchy on his head, but after blocking it no longer bothers him.
