Finished mitten 1. Going to also make these convertible/flip top, as we live in a modern day world and need the use of our fingers for smartphones :)

For reference, I put my scrap yarn round on the palm after row 38, before row 39.

Also, some useful information: I was worried about running out of my MC, but i measured the amount i had left after finishing my left mitten and i only used 10g out of the 50g ball.

More notes about the flip top/convertible mod:

-Unlike the YouTube vid, I found it easier to pick up the stitches on top and bottom before unpicking the scrap yarn row.
-I did 1 row of knit before ribbing. I found the k1p1 looked kind of weird with the colorwork and the 1 row of plain knit helped the pick up line look cleaner.
-did 1 round k, 6 rounds of rib for top flap to match the MC ribbing on the bottom of the glove.
-for inside edges, I did 1 round k, 4 rounds rib. Did not want this to be too long.
-cast off with normal cast off, did not want it to be stretchy.

I realized I messed up the thumb motif (the flower is on the wrong side) for the right mitten but I was sooo over it that I decided to just keep it :)
