I needed a friendly pattern for a relaxing knit in not so easy times… as I needed a break from the Ostrobothnia cardigan and from some family affairs

I already knitted the Salaam Beanie by Daniel Drennan ElAwar and enjoy his approach to knitting and history.

As there was enough “big” yarn in my stash, I choose between many combinations and found that this could be a nice occasion to use up the gradient yarn..

As I don’t like to knit with very big needles (everything > 5mm) and avoided the suggestion for needles #5.5, the beanie is a little too tight for my head, but it fits perfectly for a friends’ head!
