Notes

Fibonacci stripes in shadow (illusion) knitting.

It is quite difficult to see the 1, 1 at the start. The other stripes (2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21) are easier to see.

There is a border of 4 stitches of normal garter stripes at each side and a plain yellow border at top and bottom.

The third photo shows what you see when you look at the piece straight on. It is possible to see a vague outline of the stripes although it mostly looks like garter stitch stripes.

There are two basic techniques for shadow knitting. This is different from A shadow of its former self because this one has two colours standing out, in different places. Every stitch forms part of the illusion. The other has only one colour standing out and the shapes are just surrounded by the background colour.
