This is the second version of In Pursuit of an Illusion.

This one uses the same two shades of grey that I used in Mark 1 but this time they are used in separate quadrants instead of being used for alternate squares. The swirls made by the greys are plain to see however you look at the complete piece.

When you look at the afghan from directly in front you should be able to see nine different colours in squares radiating out from the centre. You may think you can see more than nine colours. That is the effect created by the light and dark shading of the greys.

This design is not exactly the same as that used for Mark 1. There have to be minor changes to create the more solid swirls. The pattern will contain both sets of instructions.

The close-up photo shows the centre, using other colours.

Hopefully, Mark 3 will show yet another interesting colour effect.
