Notes

This is one of the most challenging things we have ever designed but, having done it, the construction is easy.

I have never pulled a project undone so many times!

I could have got the same effect in a very complicated way, which would have made it extremely difficult for anyone else to replicate. We were able to simplify it to the point where anybody could make it and we were still reasonably content with the maths that got us there.

Unlike the majority of our designs, it does not lie flat as soon as you put it down. It does need a small amount of blocking to achieve the shape.

The cushion version is approximately 16” (40 cm) wide. I knitted it to use up the yarn I had left over from the afghan. It will have a plain back.

The pattern is now available.
