I made lots of squiggles and colour-coded them so I could tell them apart.

The small version you see here is the centre of the large version. It is a good example of what happens if you add ‘too many’ stitches to a circle. It quickly begins to distort. It gets more and more contorted as you add extra rounds.

I used

• 10 metres of yellow DK and 5 metres of pink for the small piece
• 77 metres of yellow and 39 metres of pink for the large version
