These are to be two baby blankets with the colours reversed.

First bear started, with a temporary cast on.

February 28
Main part of first bear finished.
Second bear started.

Instead of finishing the first bear I knitted a few rows with waste yarn. When I have decided what border I am going to make I will remove the waste yarn to finish the top of the first bear and the bottom of the second. I decided to do it this way because it is much quicker to keep going on an existing piece of knitting rather than casting on again and constantly having to straighten the knitting for the first few rows. I am under pressure of time.

March 2
I had intended to separate the two bears by now but we have been having very cold weather and the first bear is keeping my feet warm.

March 4
The pressure’s off because I have now discovered that these don’t need to be ready until the end of April. Now I’ve got this far I’m pushing ahead anyway. The two bears are now separated (and the weather has got warmer).

March 7
Main part of second bear finished.

Finished!
