Moon Sprite

Received a first place in the handspun-handwoven large article category at the Chilliwack Fair 2025 --- but she was the only item in the class.

On display at the Chilliwack Museum during the Community Art Show running from October 10 2025 to January 17 2026.

Displayed on the Show and Tell table at the Chilliwack Spinners and Weavers 2025 Spin-In.

The 21mm eyes I chose as an alternate. I think I'll go with these. My Moon Sprite is being crocheted with handspun, so maybe she is a bit smaller than the pattern intended?

The 24mm eyes recommended in the pattern.

2 legs, 2 arms, and a butt.

Wet blocking the hand shortly after completion to give better shape to the rather arthritic looking hands.

I'm pretty certain this is the most difficult thing I have ever crocheted. In part it is because I am unaccustomed to the unusual pattern writing style, and also because those fingers are worked in very tight rounds and doing several unusual things at once. Knuckles!

11.35 ounces, over 321 grams, of 3 ply handspun Targhee wool.
