I plumped up the fringe adding 2 threads (actually one long one folded in half) to each 3 thread twisted fringe.

I love the finished scarf. It's plain, but it has wonderful drape and is very soft to the touch.

On the loom before wet finishing the scarf has appropriate spacing between picks.

It’s been years since I used this particular loom so it might be a bit of a relearning experience!

I started this scarf length warp as a simple backdrop to some demonstrating of free-style weaving techniques, but once the presentation was over I pulled out the decorative but random bits and then woven the entire thing in plain weave.
I love it! The subtly marled yarn gives a nice grey flannel look to the scarf. Due to the lovely merino/cashmere yarn the scarf is very soft.
The yarn started as a very very fine 50/50 cashmere-merino blend from Colourmart. I plyed 5 of those strands together, making it technically a 10 ply of about fingering weight.
