Notes

I was going to write up a pattern for these, but won’t have time for a while now.

For those who want to try this on their own, work out the numbers to get 4 toe arches across your required number of stitches with a “claw” in the centre of each arch. The socks are knit toe up so that the duplicate stitch claws will come out pointed and “sharp” looking.

Start by knitting a wide toe, not a pointy one (increasing every row for the first while and then every other row until you get the width you want). The toe is knit in natural and then you go back and duplicate stitch the arch shape with the tiger stripe yarn. The claws are duplicate stitched using a grey-beige, slightly heavier yarn, so that they stand up a bit from the surface of the sock.
