Decreases, for my reference:
Round 1:
1st needle: k1, ssk, ssk, knit to end of needle.
2nd needle: knit to within 5 sts of end of needle, k2tog, k2tog, k1.
3rd needle: k1, ssk, ssk, knit to end of needle.
4th needle: knit to within 5 sts of end of needle, k2tog, k2tog, k1.
Round 2: knit.
8) Continue to work these last two rounds until there are 64 sts left (16 on each needle).
9) Work the decrease round until 20 sts remain (5 on each needle).
10) Knit through back loop one round.
11) Shape spike as follows:
Round 1: k8, k2tog, k8, k2tog.
Round 2: k7, k2tog, k7, k2tog.
Round 3: k6, k2tog, k6, k2tog.
Round 4: k5, k2tog, k5, k2tog.
Round 5: k4, k2tog, k4, k2tog.
Round 6: k3, k2tog, k3, k2tog.
Round 7: k2, k2tog, k2, k2tog.
Round 8: k1, k2 tog, k1, k2tog.

Finished! Also, noted that the final decrease/spike seemed to be incorrect, because with the decreases progressing the way they were, there was no way to end up with five stitches per DPN (or in my case, ten stitches on magic loop). Instead, I started the spike when I had 24 stitches remaining and went k10, k2tog and k9, k2tog. I didn’t see this noted in any other comments or projects, so I might have just missed something, but it looks wonderful either way!
