Beautiful design inviting you to knit your own flower garden to wear.

When I started visualizing my palette I was looking at the beautiful colours of Terra Cotta tiles and old bricks and off course some Paul Klee artworks.

I had a watercolour effect in mind, some low contrast elements and some higher, and only using 2 colours per row but switching out one of the Kidsilk strands every second row through some of the elements, this marling creates beautiful colour shifts and nuances.

Knitted in Yama Yarn:

MC is a new sock weight yarn base that will be available in my next shop update July 2025. The colourway is a soft brown with gentle terra cotta variegation.
Used: 152grams (350m per 100gram : 532m)

CC’s are Yama KidSilk held double or one strand of the MC base in a variegated rust colourway. Total CC: 59gram

Split for sleeves on row 58 of the chart. I knitted the rest of the chart at the hem to avoid colourwork on the sleeves.

I cast on an additional 10 stitches for each sleeve and knitted a “generous short sleeve” with loose ribbing on the same needle (3.75mm).
