Such a beautiful pattern by Rachel, a feast to knit and an invitation to be creative. I think this will surely become one of my most loved sweaters..

In this knit I played with textured stitches, colour and different yarns to create depth and differentiation through the colourwork sections, trying not to carrying more than 2 colours in each row.

Through the centre I used the Roosimine inlay technique for an embroidered look. I have not seen the combination of stranded knitting and Roosimine together that I can recall, and this design was a great canvas for experimenting ~ I am very happy with the outcome!

The main colour is a skein of “Boro Patchwork” from my August ‘25 collection, mixing in similar shades to darker blues towards to ribbing at the neck, hem and cuffs. Behind the Roosimine I used a single strand of brown KidSilk.

The CC’s are softly variegated Yama Merino Linen Singles colourways - a light blue (Botticelli) into a pinkish white, for the Roosimine I held with a strand of nearly white KidSilk (Snowdrop).
