Notes

I used Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted, which is a pure wool yarn. I didn’t use a pattern, the general rule of thumb is to make whatever you’re felting just over 30% or about a third larger than you want the finished piece. I just felted this by alternating hot and cold soapy washes with lots of friction and then tossing in the dryer on high heat.

Here is what I did if anybody is curious, I’m not a pattern writer haha. I chained 13 with the yarn held double and a 7mm Tunisian hook, and then worked 12 Tunisian simple stitches on each side of the chain for a total of 24 st for the back of the heel. Then I worked a row with 2 increases on the heel. Then one more plain simple stitch row. Then one more row with 2 increase stitches on the heel for a total of 28 st.

Work flat simple stitch rows for 12 rows. Then work 8 rows slip stitching your last stitch to the first to make the front of the slipper a tube. Then work 2 stitches together for 1 row, work a plain row, and 1 more decrease row. Then do a plain slip stitch bind off and sew the toe shut. This slipper is a kids size, to make an adult slipper it would be best to make a swatch, measure your foot, and calculate how many stitches you need.
