A long time ago when we moved up to KS from FL, I had given up hope of convincing my hubby to have a 4th baby, so I left my short sleeved nursing shirts in FL with SIL Michele as she had just had a baby. Low and behold, last year I convinced him, and on 2-15-10, our 4th boy was born. We had planned on going down to FL in April for a memorial for hubby’s mom who passed away the previous November. I was going to pick up the nursing shirts at that time. Due to some scheduling conflicts, the memorial was pushed back until the fall, and Michele was kind enough to 1. Hunt them down from wherever they were, 2. Box them up, 3. Take her 2 princesses out to shop for some new clothes for our baby, and 4. Have her hubby mail them all up to me. I’m making this as a thank you present for all that. I’m hoping to kick something out for my nieces as well.

Only using one hank, so I’m casting on 56 - 3 repeats plus 1 extra st per side.

7-5-10 update - as much as I love Shimmer, this color (cumulus) is just not doing anything for me. Kristi likes it though, so I’m leaving it with her and I’ll pick out a new color to do Michele’s scarf out of at home. Perhaps one of the greens from the shawl kit?
