Works as a close-fitting beanie for me (head circumference 22.25” with not much hair).

I dropped a needle size (which I usually do), and gauge was slightly tighter than pattern specified. Finished hat is 20” circumference and 7” high. (Knit to gauge, should be 21.5” x 7.75”.)

I think I might prefer a little more height even at the correct gauge--if I knit again (and I might!) I would consider adding plain rows between the text sections.

I knit the crown decreases while watching Seahawks vs. Patriots, then took it all out and re-knit. (Game was too exciting!)

Emily did a fantastic job with this pattern--it is spectacularly clear, and arranging that much text is no small feat. I declare she deserves Hamilton tix!
